Baseball WA in consultation with regional associations has devised a brand new format for regional tournaments and for adoption by local tee-ball leagues.
The format is based on the Machine Pitch program run at younger ages in metropolitan Perth but on a larger diamond.
The format aims to provide a pathway for regional tee-ballers into a moving ball sport and the machine pitch format works well with local programs that typically have players stay in tee-ball to ages older than their metropolitan counter-parts.
Over time, regular player pitch competitions at older age groups will develop.
Anyone wishing to play MP70 in Regional WA is encouraged to contact their local association - especially those players in the North West where it is hoped a MP70 competition can be run as part of the NW Tee-ball Champs in September this year.
